Kimetrius Christopher Foose (born August 4, 1998), better known by his stage name Lil Skies, is an American rapper and singer from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, signed to All Nosotros Got Amusement through Atlantic Records. His three highest charting tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 are "I" (number 39), "Nowadays" (number 55), and "Blood-red Roses" (number 69). His major label debut mixtape, Life of a Dark Rose, was released in 2018 and peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. The mixtape was certified Platinum past the RIAA in 2020.[1] He released his debut studio album, Shelby, in 2019. He followed it upwardly by releasing his second studio anthology, Unbothered, in 2021.

Early life [edit]

Kimetrius Christopher Foose was born August iv, 1998, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.[2] [3] He began freestyling at age three. He was introduced to music by his father, Michael Burton Jr., a hip hop artist formerly known as Night Skies, now as BurntMan, and his mother Shelby Foose. 2020–present: Unbothered [edit]

On March 4, 2020, Skies released the song "Havin My Way", which features close friend Lil Durk and serves as the pb single from his 2nd studio anthology, Unbothered (2021).[27] It was followed by the 2nd unmarried, "Riot", which was released on May fourteen, 2020.[28] "On Sight", the third single, was released on November 6, 2020.[29] On July ten, 2020, he released the rail "Reddish & Yellow" from the Road to Fast ix mixtape.[30] On December 16, 2020, Foose announced Unbothered and its complete details along with the single "Ok". The album was released on January 22, 2021.

Lil Skies was too featured on the soundtrack for Madden NFL xix with his song "Welcome to the Rodeo" and Madden NFL xx with the song "Magic".

Personal life [edit]

Foose resides in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. In July 2019, Foose and his longtime girlfriend, Jacey Fugate, had a son.[31] [32] [33]

Foose cites his own vocal "Red Roses" as his personal favorite song, referring to the musical combination with him and Landon Cube as "ballsy".[34] He cites Lil Wayne as his biggest music inspiration.[35]
